About Christopher R. Noonan, CFP®
Founder & Certified Financial Planner®
TrueNorth Financial Planning, LLC
Christopher R. Noonan, CFP® is the founder of TrueNorth Financial Planning, LLC, a firm built on the belief that high-quality financial advice should be clear, personalized, and within reach. With a background rooted in fiduciary standards and a commitment to independence, Chris helps individuals and families navigate every step of their financial journey—from the first conversation to long-term implementation—with care, consistency, and resolution.
As a Certified Financial Planner® and registered representative (Series 7/66), Chris prioritizes putting clients first, always. He works closely with each person to understand their goals, values, and concerns, and crafts tailored strategies that support long-term financial wellbeing. He believes in empowering clients through education, collaboration, and honest conversations—never jargon, pressure, or pretense.
Chris passed both his CFP® and Series 7/66 licenses within a two-month window at the age of 27 – an achievement that places him among just 6.2% of CFP® professionals under 30. While proud of this accomplishment, Chris views it not as a badge of superiority, but as a reflection of his deep commitment to mastering his craft early on. His approach blends technical excellence with a savant-like intuition for planning – always grounded in humility, empathy, and a genuine desire to serve.
TrueNorth was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to make comprehensive financial planning and investment management more accessible and affordable. By leveraging modern technology and eliminating unnecessary layers, Chris ensures the client-advisor relationship stays focused on what truly matters—you.
Chris is more than just a planner—he’s a committed community member, a reliable guide, and an advocate for raising the standards in the financial planning profession. He stands for transparency, accountability, and a planning process that feels human, not corporate.
When he’s not working with clients, you’ll find Chris boating, golfing, hunting, working-out, or spending time with his German Shepherd, (Mack). His approach to planning is much like his approach to life: thoughtful, down-to-earth, and fully invested.
